Biography of world famous celebrity Rumer Willis
Rumer Willis, who was born on August 16, 1988 in Paducah, Kentucky, is part of Hollywood royalty as both parents – Demi Moore Kutcher and Bruce Willis – are big names in the industry. Rumer is the oldest daughter of Demi and Bruce, next to Scout LaRue Willis (born 1991) and Tallulah Belle Willis (born 1994). Their stepfather is actor Ashton Kutcher.
Rumer Willis was raised in Hailey, Idaho. Some of her first acting credits came in supporting roles on her parent’s films – such as the Demi Moore’s movies “Now and Then” in 1995 and “Striptease” in 1996. Rumer Willis also appeared in her dad’s 2000 movie “The Whole Nine Yards” and 2005 thriller flick “Hostage.”
In 2002, Rumer Willis attended Michigan-based Interlochen Arts Academy for her freshman year, but moved to Wildwood Secondary School in LA in her sophomore year and graduated there in June 2006. In hopes of creating an acting portfolio on her own, Rumer auditioned for a role in the stage production of James Joyce’s classic “The Dead,” where she landed the lead role and performed on stage on February to March 2002 in Hailey, Idaho.
In 2006, Rumer Willis then attended University of Southern California, before dropping out completely to pursue an acting career. By late 2007, she was named “Miss Golden Globe” for 2008, but wasn’t able to be presented with the award due to the Hollywood writer’s strike in early 2008.
From 2008 to 2009, Rumer Willis has landed several films that didn’t star her parents – “From Within,” “I Know What Boys Like,” “The House Bunny,” “Whore,” “Streak,” “Hands of Hatred,” “Wild Cherry,” “Sorority Row,” “Slightly Single in L.A.,” and “Walks.” She has also appeared on various TV shows, including “Miss Guided,” “Army Wives,” “CSI: New York,” “Medium,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and “90210.”
